New QuickPull Beta Build Available

A new beta version (3.9.99.42) of QuickPull is now available for OS 5.0. This update is to primarily address the broken automated functionality in the recent OS 5.0 builds. This took a bit longer than we wanted to get out mainly due to the fact that we were in the middle of working on QuickPull v4 which has some significant enhancements over the current versions. Thus, this build also doubles as a preview of QuickPull v4. ;)

Without further delay, the OTA: http://tinyurl.com/35vg43z

Note that this is a *beta* release. Bad things may happen to you for using this release. Prior to installing, I recommend you back up your device, then backup your PC with the backup of your device on it, then mail copies of those backups to your friends and family for safekeeping. Then you can install this beta version.

We will use this thread for discussion regarding this build: http://feedback.steelthorn.com/steelthorn/topics/quickpull_beta_3_9_99_42

Happy Pulling!

    Doesn’t work with BES. Since my security timer reset is locked to Deny, I can change this setting, and I get “Quickpull needs 1 additional permissions to be set.”

    Obv I meant “I can’t change this setting”. Also, I have a Storm 9530 running OS 591.

    I’m having trouble with mailing the backups from my mobile device to my computer, etc. to some friends of mine. Do you offer a service for this in the latest edition of quickpull? Perhaps a Pro version?

    @Metanoia
    Not yet… but we are considering offering an elite priority upgraded exclusive mile-high support service. Just overnight us your troublesome BlackBerry device (newly released models preferred), and in 1-2 months we will ship it back good as new!

    @Todd L See the reply on the related thread :)

    Downloading it now.
    SteelThorn has been a stand-up company with excellent products, in my opinion.
    I’ll be glad to help.
    Thanks,

    Mine is still not working. Bold 9000, 5.0.0.592. Won’t even do manual quickpull. On BES server.

    @Shawn

    I take it back. I got this to work. I had to do a manual quick pull first, then it asked again for the permission and I had to select Restart device. Once it restarted, that saved the setting. Now scheduled quick pull works. Thanks!

    Beta works now on my Bold 9000. One of my favorite applications but missed the fact I could not set a scheduled reset with the new 5.0 OS. My ONLY issue is when it reboots thru the night as scheduled the clock is blocked by the annoying “Restart Complete” screen. Is there a need to display this?

    Thank you for the Beta,
    Andy

    4.0.2 works fine on my Storm2 (9520) running OS 5.0.0.580 (Platform 4.2.0.250) – that’s the first QuickPull I am able to use on my Device since I switched over to the Storm2 after DevCon in SF – thanks for all the efforts!
